To see and to do

Discover Curaçao
Curaçao has long been one of the favorite Caribbean destinations for Dutch travelers. This is partly thanks to direct flights from KLM and TUI between Curaçao and Amsterdam. Being part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands also makes things easy, as Dutch is widely spoken. Add to that the tropical climate, stunning beaches, and friendly locals, and it’s easy to see why visitors keep coming back.

The tropical climate means warm temperatures year-round, typically around or just above 30°C during the day. Sunshine is abundant, and there is no real rainy season or hurricanes to worry about.

Jet Lag Tips
Most Dutch tourists wake up fairly early. Even after a long flight, the 5–6 hour time difference allows you to sleep in a bit and still get an early start. Take it easy on your first day – enjoy a short visit to Willemstad, then relax on the beach or by the pool and soak up the Caribbean pace.

Beaches
Jan Thiel Beach
Dreaming of sun, sea, shopping, and entertainment? Jan Thiel Beach is the place to be. Sip an ice-cold cocktail, enjoy delicious meals prepared by local chefs, and explore the wide range of sports and entertainment options in a safe environment.

Mambo Beach
Perhaps the most famous beach in Curaçao, Mambo Beach is known for its lively nightlife and weekend parties. During weekdays, it’s much quieter, perfect for families and tourists who just want to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand. The boulevard is lined with shops and restaurants, and there are live music events in the evenings.

Playa PortoMari
